Nitrous Oxide – Everything you need to know

by Admin December 29, 2019

There are two types of people who love nitrous speed freaks and people looking to party. Nitrous oxide, also referred to as NOS (nitrous oxide systems) or nitrous, is a gas that is shot into a vehicle’s motor to increase horsepower drastically for a short period. Just like methanol injection, the Germans, and this time, the British used nitrous oxide to improve high altitude performance on world war two aircraft. Nowadays, nitrous oxide is either used as a recreational drug or to increase horsepower.

Leveling kits – Everything You Need To Know

by Admin December 28, 2019
Have you ever noticed that there is a slight difference between the heights of the front end of your truck and the back end? That’s a purposeful feature that manufacturers put on trucks and SUVs. Known as rake, this imbalance is based on the concept that when you add a massive load into the bed of your truck, It may well cause sagging, or even cause you to bottom out. This can cause premature wear and tear to your suspension parts.

Common Symptoms Of A Bad Starter

by Admin December 27, 2019

The engine starter is one of the essential auxiliary components of an internal combustion engine.
In the old day’s car engines were hand started, as we now do with small two-stroke engines, this technique was used until 1912 when Charles F. Kettering came up with the electric starter, which was first used in the 1912 Cadillac automobiles. The electric starter consists of an electric motor with a small pinion at the end of its rotors shaft. This pinion is geared to the engine’s flywheel ring. They also include a solenoid that regulates the power to the starter motor and provides motion to the coupling mechanism.

Best Water-Methanol Injection Kit

by Admin December 23, 2019

When most people hear you talking about injecting meth, they may give you some funny looks or nasty glances. But in reality, you’re talking about water-methanol injection for your car. Water-Meth injection is an idea that has been around for many years, first pioneered by the Germans in WW2. The Germans would spray a 50/50 water-meth mixture into the supercharges of fighter planes reducing the risk of detonation and allowing the pilots to push the aircraft harder and increase boost pressure when needed. With this system installed, the Germans were able to increase the standard 1600HP engines to over 2000HP.

5 Most Common Symptoms Of A Bad Brake Caliper

by Admin December 15, 2019

When it comes to going fast, brakes only slow you down, so who needs them! Brakes are a crucial component of every car and motorized vehicle out there. They allow the operator to decrease speed so you can come to a complete stop. The braking system begins when you press the brake peddle, hydraulic fluid is pushed from the master cylinder into the calipers. This forces a piston on the caliper to extend. At the end of the piston are brake pads. They then come in contact with the rotor slowing down the vehicle. If you have ever experienced Driving with non-functioning or limited brakes, you know how scary it is, especially at high speeds. When it comes to a failed brake caliper, there are a variety of issues that could be present in your vehicle. But what are the symptoms of a bad brake caliper? Well, you are in luck! Best 2007 – 2018 Silverado leveling kits

by Admin December 10, 2019

If you look at the majority of trucks when they come from the factory, you may have noticed that they sit higher in the rear than the front. This is most commonly referred to as rake. The reason manufacturers add rake is so if you have a heavy load in the box, the rear of the truck will sink under the weight to match the front, reducing the chance of sagging. If you are not using your truck to haul heavy loads regularly rake can look very visually unappealing. A cheap and straightforward way to make your Chevy Silverados rear and front even is with a leveling kit. A leveling kit is typically a disc-shaped device that you mount onto the top of your existing struts. When it comes to selecting a leveling kit, you have many options, usually ranging from 2″ up to 3.” Some manufacturers also make front and rear leveling kits raising the entire vehicle without the need for a lift kit. Unfortunately, a leveling kit does not provide a ton of extra ground clearance, but they are significantly cheaper than a proper lift kit. Below we have compiled a list of our favorite 2007- 2018 Chevy Silverado leveling kits. Still, have questions about leveling kits? Check out our Q&A on leveling kits here

The Best Electronic Boost Controllers 2024

by Admin December 7, 2019

Are you finding your car is lacking in horsepower, and you want to have the edge over the competition on the street or the track? A great way to achieve a significant gain in horsepower is by adding a turbocharger to your car. A turbocharger works by using your exhaust gases to spin a turbine that is inside of the turbo. This turbine can spin at speeds between 80,000 – 250,000 RPM. Once the turbo has hit the desired amount of boost, a second fan will shoot all of the air into the engine’s cylinders forcing more air into the motor. But what is boost? Boost is a term used to describe the amount of air pressure that will be released into the motor from the turbo. Essentially the more boost your turbocharger is producing, the more air being forced into the engine, the faster you will go.

Best Infinity G35 Exhaust

by Admin November 28, 2019

Build on the immensely popular 350z chassis the Infiniti G35 is no coupe to be messed with. The G35 comes equipped with the same engine as the Nissan 350z producing upwards of 300 horsepower with some variation between the model years. Unfortunately, the G35 doesn’t have a ton of tuning potential, but you can easily squeeze out an extra 40-50 horsepower with proper bolt-ons. If you want to be able to push out significant power with the G35 and the 350Z alike, a turbo kit is your best route. But before you rush out and purchase a turbo kit, you need proper supporting mods on your G35. The first modification we recommend doing to your car is an aftermarket exhaust system. Stock exhaust systems are often very restrictive and don’t allow the car to breathe, that’s where an aftermarket system comes in. Below we have compiled a list of our favorite G35 exhausts.

by Admin November 23, 2019

It may have taken Ford some time to add an AWD edition to the Focus lineup, but despite being late to the game, when the Ford Focus RS arrived in 2017 it marked a turning point in the industry.

The original MK1 Focus, when introduced, was known for its ability in the World Rally Championship. At the hands of the late Colin McRae, the MK1 Ford Focus won multiple rallies and was immortalized in the gaming world as the lead car for the Codemasters tie-in, Colin McRae Rally 2.0.
